Ahhhhh! I'm an idiot!

I spent a great morning riding around Latrobe on my lovely folding bike.

Parked it beside the van while I had my lunch.... then headed off to explore Devonport. THEN I REALIZED!!!!!

4 hours later that the bike was still sitting in the rest spot beside the Mersey river. I drove like the clappers back to the spot.

GONE

it's a "Trekking Fox - JOY". Blue along with my grey helmet and black gear sack. Some guys fishing thought they had seen it and maybe a blue Commodore MIGHT have stopped nearby. It's one of a kind.. sentimental value as much as the $400 - $500 replacement cost.

Who knows... maybe you will spot it someday. Details left with the Police.

I hope that maybe it will be handed in.... hope.... sigh.... sad....

My sympathy Royce

I have a giant foldup bike and and like you use it wherever we go.

So far I have remembered to lock it up, even if I am only going in to buy a paper.

I hope you get it back soon.

I lock it up too. This time though it was just outside the van door ready to load. I had a cuppa... then stepped through to the drivers seat and drove off!!

Luckily it has been found. I just had a call from the Police. So all is good.

Royce!!
I dont think you are an idiot. If you left it there, it should be there when you get back.. What makes people think because its not chained to a tree, that nobody owns it or is not going to return to pick it up.. Some people are just no damn good.. A large % of people could dissapear and no one would notice..... Michael

and.... the good news. I just got a call from the Latrobe police.... It was just handed in!!! Dumped behind some shops.

I did think that it would be too 'uncool' for kids to want.

I'll make sure to check before I drive off next time.
